I truly believe that we must learn to feel comfortable and loved when we are alone, so that others may learn to love us unconditionally in the same manner. When you are alone and feel lonely, what is the cure?
Self-love, self-love, self-love.
When you can be alone and feel whole? That is when you're living with unconditional self-love leading the way. So how do you cultivate more self-love so you don't feel alone? For me this all starts with anchoring in the present moment; look at how you are taking care of your mind, body, and soul each day. Break it up hour by hour, if you have to.
It's time to get honest with yourself about your choices and priorities. Is the energy you're expending coming from authenticity? Are you spending your time on things that make you feel more like yourself, rather than things that make you feel lost? Are you doing the basics of self-care?
It's not about how you spend your time, it's about how you spend your energy.
If you focus your energy on self-love and self-care each day, you will see a shift. The loneliness fades. It truly does. Being alone can be one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves, so don't hide from it. Enjoy it. Grow in it. Love it. You deserve the love.
